Support

An independent study app for candidates preparing for the RCIC Entry-to-Practice Exam.

Questions, bug reports, or a question you think is wrong? Email patrguzz@gmail.com. Corrections to the question bank are especially welcome — please include the question and the source you are working from (the Act or regulation and section, the rule, the guideline, or the case).

Requirements

iPhone or iPad running iOS 26.0 or later, or a Mac running macOS 26.0 or later. Studying works entirely offline; the App Store is contacted only for buying or restoring Full Access, and iCloud only to sync your progress. It appears as “Consultant Exam” under its icon on iPhone and iPad (the Mac shows the full name).

Free to try, and Full Access

The app is free to try: 50 practice questions in any mode, one mock paper (full or half) and every Library card. Full Access is a one-time in-app purchase — no subscription — that unlocks every question, unlimited mock papers and every drill on your iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account. The free allowance (50 questions and one mock paper) is shared by your synced devices.

Restoring a purchase: open the Library tab and tap “Restore purchases” in the Full Access card, or use the same button on the purchase screen. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Why there is no pass mark

The College sets the pass mark for each sitting and does not publish it, and it reports results as pass or fail. So the app shows a projected score out of the 125 scored questions and lets you set your own target (75% by default, adjustable from 60% to 90% in the Library). Your target is yours — it is not the College's pass mark.

How mock papers are built

A full paper has 125 scored questions sampled to the unit shares published in the College's Candidate Guide, about 35 of them in case sets, plus 10 unscored pilot questions placed at random — the same shape as the real exam. The pilot questions are answered like any other and revealed on the result page; they do not count toward your score. A half paper has 63 scored and 5 pilot questions in 90 minutes.

Which law does the app follow?

The law as of September 2026, for the October 2026 and March 2027 sittings. Provisions that were enacted but not yet in force, proposed regulations, and figures that change during the year (fees, income thresholds, draw cut-offs) are deliberately not tested.

Progress and resetting

Your iPhone, iPad and Mac combine their progress through your own iCloud account: answers add up, the review schedule carries on from your latest answer, and mock papers from every device appear together. Sign in to iCloud on each device; the switch is in Library › Sync, and it is on unless you turn it off. Every device still keeps its own copy, so studying works offline and catches up when you are back online. Your personal target is a setting of each device and does not sync. To start over, use “Reset all progress” in the Library tab: with sync on it erases progress on every device signed in to your iCloud account, with sync off on that device only. Deleting the app deletes the progress on that device; with sync on, the iCloud copy stays until you delete it in Settings › your name › iCloud › Storage › Consultant Exam.

A question looks wrong?

Every question carries an explanation and a reference. If you believe an answer conflicts with the current law, email the question text and your source — verified corrections ship in the next update. This app is exam practice, not advice: always confirm current law and requirements with official sources.
