A study aid for the ground portion of the Transport Canada PPL and CPL flight test — items 2A, 2B, 2C and 23A.

Requirements

iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later, or a Mac running macOS 26 or later. Studying works entirely offline; no internet connection is needed, and iCloud is used only to sync your progress if you leave that on.

Where my progress is stored

On your device, inside the app, and — if you leave iCloud sync on — in your own iCloud account, so your iPhone, iPad and Mac combine their progress: answers add up, the review schedule carries on from your latest answer, and session reports from every device appear together. Sign in to iCloud on each device; the switch is in Settings › Sync. The readiness checklist, test date and settings stay on each device. It is not visible to anyone but you, and the developer cannot see it. To start over, use "Reset all progress" in Settings: with sync on it erases progress on every device, with sync off on that device only.

Reporting a wrong answer

The question bank is written against the Transport Canada flight test guides, the Canadian Aviation Regulations, and the Cessna 172R and 172S Pilot's Operating Handbooks. Regulations and POH figures change, and mistakes are possible. If something looks wrong, email the question along with the section or page you're citing and it will be corrected in the next update.

An important caveat

Ride Ready is a study aid, not a Transport Canada publication. Nothing in it is authoritative. Verify anything you will be marked on against the current Canadian Aviation Regulations, the current flight test guide, and the Pilot's Operating Handbook for the actual aircraft you are flying.

Privacy
