Immigration Consultant Exam

An independent study app for candidates preparing for the RCIC Entry-to-Practice Exam — written from the primary law, built to the published blueprint, and honest about what is not published.

Built to the published blueprint

The exam has 135 multiple-choice questions in three hours: 125 are scored and 10 are unscored pilot questions. The College's Candidate Guide publishes each competency unit's share of the scored questions, and on a 125-question paper every share is a whole number. A full mock paper is sampled to exactly those counts, with 10 unscored pilot questions placed at random.

Inside each unit the app groups the competencies into 43 study areas. That finer split, and its weights, are the app's own — the Candidate Guide publishes the units only.

A target, not a pass mark

The College sets the pass mark for each sitting and does not publish it, so this app never pretends to know it. You see a projected score out of 125 and set your own target (75% by default); every mock paper tells you how far above or below your target you landed, unit by unit.

The first 50 questions are free in any mode, together with one mock paper (full or half) and the whole Library. If the app suits you, one Full Access purchase opens the rest: all 1,377 questions, as many mock papers as you like and every drill. You pay once, with no subscription, and the purchase covers your iPhone, iPad and Mac on the same Apple Account.

Sources behind every question

Every question is built from the primary law, read rather than recalled: the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations, the Citizenship Act and Regulations, the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants Act and Regulations, the Code of Professional Conduct, the rules of the four Immigration and Refugee Board divisions and the Chairperson's Guidelines, the Federal Courts rules and the leading cases — plus the Candidate Guide and the Essential Competencies the College publishes for candidates. The law is as of September 2026, for the October 2026 and March 2027 sittings. No exam questions or commercial prep material were used.

Exam practice, not advice. Every question is about a fictional client. Immigration law and policy change often: always confirm current law and requirements with official sources.
